Welcome to the Scottish Fire Service College

The Scottish Fire Service College exists to provide a central workforce development resource for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.

The range of functions provided by the college are set out in detail on this site and can be broadly divided into learning and development support, such as e-learning, standards and quality assurance and learning and development delivery, providing bespoke Scottish Fire and Rescue Service courses either directly, or through a third party provider.

In addition to the support and delivery functions, the College is able to provide a relatively independent view and a knowledge base for learning and development activities which is of particular value in the context of the quality assurance of learning and development
